Technicolor Lenses
(Planet Cognac / Brooklyn)
https://soundcloud.com/technicolor-lenses

The Technicolor Lenses trifecta is the sonic creation of Jackson Whalan, Sam Eckstein and Brandon Lewis... combining original hip-hop and MC-ing, electronic/dub-step, psychedelic rock, jam, funk, and spoken word, providing conscious social commentary on the current state of human existence. The live performance of Technicolor Lenses cultivates the high energy of a hip-hop or electronic set with a unique instrumental element.

This young, new, Brooklyn-based band is emerging and sharing far and wide, with the intention is to raise vibrations and consciousness by creating a space of fun, togetherness, and celebration, driven by the vehicle called music.

Weekend Money
(Greedhead / Brooklyn)
http://www.weekendmoney.biz/

Weekend Money, compromised of aforementioned NYC/Philly MC Ne$$ (member of Dead Prez affiliated group A-Alikes) and Brooklyn by way of Iraq producer/vocalist Baghdaddy, aren’t the first to cite the city of New York as a major influence on their work. New York has it’s fair share of acts in a flourishing hip hop scene, but the duo are a perfect example of New York’s multicultural melting pot and their music is no different. Weekend Money’s debut EP, Naked City, is a contagious blend of underground hip hop, ‘hood street swagger and spaced out beats that play like a diary of a NYC hustler touching on his experiences and thoughts and revealing both the glamour and grime of the city.

Hot Jambalaya
(Planet Cognac / NJ)
https://soundcloud.com/hot-jambalaya

Hot Jambalaya is the brainchild of NJ based electronic producers Mikey Likes iT and Bartlomein. The pair incorporates an ever expanding cornucopia of musical influences from around the globe and through the cosmos to take the listener on an auditory adventure through time and space. Their unique blend of funky, slippery, glitched out bass music has earned them slots at such notable northeast festivals as Uphoria 2012 and The Magnetic Gathering. Over the past few years, they've shared the stage with Michal Menert, Conspirator, Bluetech, Heyoka, Govinda, Phutureprimitive, Freddy Todd, Knight Riderz, Kaminanda, Skytree, Higher Organix and Space Jesus.

F.L.O.T.E + Melvin Freshley
(Altered Ego Collective / Philly | Planet Cognac / NJ)
http://flote.bandcamp.com/
https://soundcloud.com/melvinfreshley

A buzz is quietly growing around Philadelphia by way of CT musician/producer Matt Tripodi AKA FLOTE's glitched out yet natural brand of electronic hip hop. As part of the Philadelphia crew Altered Ego Collective (w/ chris∆re, Beam&Deem, Binary Bits, Nommo) FLOTE (AKA Dome Wrecka) cuts no corners, crafting synths and meticulously polishing every sound making sure nothing is overlooked or compromised. Instead of focusing on a single emotion, a FLOTE production usually melts many contradicting emotions into one, at times creating an overwhelming state of nostalgia that is truly rewarding for the listener.

eelko
(Electrogenic / Boston)
http://eelkomusic.com/

EELKO is the moniker for Boston based musician and producer, Christopher Carchedi, who is living proof that electronic music production has allowed composers to find a sound and voice all their own, as his music is unparalleled in its uniqueness. While there is still common ground and tradition out there in the 2012 musical climate, it’s safe to say that now more than ever, no two producers will sound alike, and eelko is one of the most developed and mature examples of this new phase in the evolution of music.
